Holidays Buzz
Wow! Have I been busy for the Holidays. I taught a Christmas Card 101 class at the local Library. Had 2 more then I was prepared for but we split the difference and everyone made 1 card instead of 2. We had a great time.
I've been pushing myself out side of my box and have made a few Holiday items that I'm pretty proud to show you.
Number One!
Another Consultant had made this. When I saw this little guy I just had to try. Rudy is made with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and Close To My Heart paper which can only be bought through me.
I made this tree ornament using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge as well. It was a little time consuming but putting it together while I was watching TV wasn't so bad.
These little guys were so much fun to make and EASY. I bought some battery run tea lites. Colored the lites with my CTMH Orange marker. I cut the circles using my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. Sooo much easier than cutting then one by one! I used my CTMH Black marker to color in the smile, eyes, and buttons. I drew and hand cut the hats. I used embroidery floss around the hat and ribbon for a scarf. The arms were also from Art Philosophy and the heart....well, I happen to have a punch hanging around that I've had for years and it finally became useful.
My next project will be making name tags for Christmas gifts. It's amazing what you can accomplish when the mood hits and the time is right.
Get your creative mojo going and show me what you've made for the holidays!

HERE COME HURRICANE ISAAC
It looks like we are positively getting blessed with a Hurricane this coming weekend. The Hardware stores are going crazy. My Husband works for Lowes and they have already advised their employees to be prepared to put in long hectic hours. I have started our list of "must haves" to get ready. It's kind of exciting considering I have never experienced one before but yet it's very scary too. No too long ago we experienced our first Tropical Storm Debbie. I thought that was a hurricane. TV was advising everyone to prepare for evacuation but it turned out my neighborhood didn't have to. We had some 3 foot deep in water streets but that was about the worst of it. Some of the screens came off the pool enclosure but we were able to put that back up. This time we are going to be better prepared. Our neighbor has a generator, and he is the sweetest guy, and has told us he will help out as much as he can and we can stay with him if need be. Our street has the best people. We all look out for each other and we all socialize often. I love it here and couldn't be happier.

I've been busy the past few days so I thought I'd show you what I've been up to. Now keep in mind that these are not my original design. A sister Consultant came up with these, Madeline Morcelo, and I just had to try them. The paper and such is not the same as her's so that's what makes it original to me. Hope you enjoy!

Stationary and box
This was fun to make. I used My Creations Card Box. I adheared Pemberly paper pack paper cut at specific sizes to adhere to the box. I also cut and folded paper to place on the inside to accommodate the 3x3 note cards I made and envelopes. I also took apart a pen and slipped a piece of Pemberly in it to create a match set. I bought from a local craft supply store the little wooden legs. I combined some re-inker with Creat-a-shade Pearl Paint and painted the legs. I adhered them to the box use super glue.
4th of July
I recycled some yogurt cups to make this. I was going to put holes in the top and put red, white, and blue carnations in them but the party we were going to got canceled so here they are. I took strips of B&T and fan folded them to make the "Flowers". I used a miscellaneous Cricut Cartridge to cut the letters. It was fun to do. Too bad they didn't get used.
Are You Sleeping
I know my Husband is going to shoot me for putting this on my blog but I just had to throw it in the mix.
I think these pictures are just adorable! I got the idea from Pinterest. I used Dotty For You, again!, for the back ground and I drew the animals, cut them out and adhered them to the back ground. I painted all the frames white and then I added some miscellaneous ribbon from my supply. I sent these off to my Step-daughter for the baby's room. I almost wanted to keep them but you know how Grandmother's are?
This 2 page layout I made cutting the B&T at 8" so I would not divide the page exactly in half. I used card stock as matting for the pictures and the flowers were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge offered exclusively from Close To My Heart. The lettering I printed from a miscellaneous Cricut Cartridge
Dotty For You
Close To My Heart had a special offer for this paper pack so I have decided I am going to make a scrapbook for my Step-daughter's first baby. This 2 page layout I decided to put Torin's name on the side. I stamped some little cars, bicycles, and balloons for embellishments. I adhered the balloons on Torin's name and the cars and bicycles were added to the boarder on the 2nd page. These little additions come from a stamp set called Neighborhood Item# C1384
